This is one of 6 Firefly 26's believed to have been imported to UK from USA. See http://www.runningtideyachts.com/trimaran/. which describes improvements made over the Dragonfly 800. Also http://www.runningtideyachts.com/archives/Firefly.php.
This one had a refit before sailing around Eire and up into the Scottish Western Isles. This included new trampolines, beams, and copper-coating anti-fouling. She has a rotating mast and good sails, including a kevlar genoa, fully battened main. Nav lights, vhf etc. Spray hood. Good Honda 4-stroke 5hp. Ground tackle etc. .She has a steel launching yard trolley that sits on 4-wheel braked road trailer, currently being serviced and adapted to suit..
Condition inside and out is sound but well used. Some tlc will enhance her, but is not essential. She is not a folding tri; but can be dismantled simply for road transport, which, as she is so light, is no harder than a medium caravan.
She has a lifting keel and a draft when raised of only 13".
Like the Dragonfly she is derived from, she is exceptionally fast and seaworthy. Located just on the border of South Wales, she can be trailed easily anywhere. Please enquire for a fuller 'warts and all' description.
Engine in piccies is not the Honda that is included. - that one used while Honda away for servicing.
