Description

This ABS-classed DP2 pipe-laying barge was originally converted to an 8-point mooring pipelay unit in 2009–2010, with full DP2 capabilities completed in 2015, featuring ABS notations: ABS-A1 Barge, @, DPS-2, UWILD, CRC Pipe Laying Barge. Measuring 135 m LOA, 42.00 m beam, and 8.00 m depth, the unit operates at a scantling draught of 5.00 m and typical operational draught of approximately 4.5 m, with an air draught around 50.00 m.

The main deck area spans 5,670 m² with a deck load rating of 15 t/m², serviced by a full helideck rated for Sikorsky S-61N and S-92 helicopters. Accommodations are SOLAS-74 A-60 compliant, housing up to 240 POB (including 40 marine crew and 200 operational crew) in single to six-man cabins, each with private facilities, and supported by extensive amenities such as gym, cinema, prayer room, hospital, internet rooms, and multiple lounges across multiple decks.

The vessel is powered by 4 x Wartsila 7L32 (3,500 kW each) and 5 x Caterpillar 3512B DITA (1,170 kW each) generators, plus a 375 kW emergency genset, supporting 6 x Rolls Royce Azimuth Kongsberg thrusters and a HiPAP 500 positioning system. For mooring, an 8-point SAS winch system delivers 80 mt tension, 175 mt brake holding, and a 2,500 m wire capacity, each with 52 mm wire and 10 t anchors.

Pipelay operations are enabled by the SAS Gouda S-lay system, offering a nominal tension capacity of 200 mt, expandable to 225 mt static. The stinger assembly measures 90 m (three-sectioned: 43.6 m + 36 m + 10.8 m), supporting OD pipelines from 6″ to 60″. The vessel is fitted with three 67 mt tensioners, A& R winch of 200 mt (88 mm rope), five welding stations, FJC stations, and pipe handling cranes.

Heavy lift operations are supported by two deck cranes:
1. An Amclyde KP 87 HD electric-hydraulic offshore pedestal crane with a max lift of 400 mt @ 10.3 m radius, and up to 66 mt @ 61.0 m on extended boom.

2. An Amclyde 35,000 HD diesel-hydraulic crane, capable of 69 mt @ 8.7 m and 17.5 mt @ 44.6 m radius.
