This well-maintained and refitted Baltic Sea yawl "Apollo" has been included in the list of sailing Belgian heritage.
This vessel was originally built in 1931 at the Jensen Nyborg shipyard in Denmark. In recent years, the current owner (since 2000) has undertaken numerous improvements, resulting in the ship currently being in an excellent state of maintenance.
Many bow planks, the entire deck, the superstructure, as well as the warm and cozy interior, have been completely professionally and expertly renovated and enhanced, using only the finest wood types including Mahogany, Belgian oak, and Norwegian pine. Add to the restoration a recent Lombardini marine diesel engine of 75 hp (600 operating hours), Raymarine instruments, autopilot, fixed and handheld VHF, hot water boiler, refrigerator, 2-burner gas stove, and you will notice that no expense was spared in this refit.
An enthusiast of these classic ships will certainly appreciate the restoration. This former "Bunnevisser" is currently located in Antwerp and invites you to visit.
